You can have a free Minecraft server running on Schokr in a few minutes. Here’s how.
1. Create your account
Head to the Schokr console and sign up. Every team starts on the free package: 6 GB of memory, 150% CPU and 10 GB of disk, shared across up to 4 servers.
2. Create a server
Create a new server and pick a Minecraft template:
| Template | Best for |
|---|---|
| Paper | Plugins and great performance |
| Forge | Mods and modpacks |
| Vanilla | The classic game, untouched |
| Sponge | Sponge plugins |
| BungeeCord | Linking several servers together |
Choose the location closest to you and your friends, and decide how much of your memory, CPU and disk to give it.
3. Start it up
Open your server’s console and start it. The first time, Minecraft asks you to accept its EULA; the console links to it so you can read it and accept.
4. Connect
Copy your server’s address from the dashboard. In Minecraft, open Multiplayer, choose Add Server, paste the address and join.
5. Add plugins
On a Paper server, upload plugin .jar files to the plugins folder with the file manager, then restart.
Before installing anything big, take a snapshot. If a plugin breaks your server, you can roll back in one click.
