How to use the server console on Schokr
Use your Schokr server's console to read live logs, send commands, watch memory and CPU usage and spot crashes as they happen.

The console is the live view of your server. It shows everything your server prints, lets you type commands into it, and shows how much memory, CPU and network it is using right now.
What the console shows
- Live output: everything the server writes to its terminal, such as startup messages, player joins, errors and stack traces.
- Resource usage: current memory, CPU and network use, compared to the limits you set.
- Power controls: start, stop, restart and kill. See starting, stopping and restarting.
- A command box: for typing commands into the running server.
Sending commands
Type into the command box and press Enter. The text goes straight to your server's standard input, exactly like typing in a terminal on your own computer. What works depends on the software:
say Server restarting in 5 minutes
op YourName
whitelist add FriendName
Those are Minecraft server commands. Do not add a leading slash in the console for Minecraft; it is not needed there.
Other software:
- Source games (TF2, GMod, CS:GO): console commands such as
statusorchangelevel <map>. - Node.js, Bun and Python bots: these usually do not read input, so typing does nothing unless your code listens to standard input.
Reading the output
When something goes wrong, the console is the first place to look.
- Scroll up to the first error, not the last. Later errors are often caused by the first one.
- Look for words like
ERROR,Exception,TracebackorFATAL. - Note the file or plugin name mentioned in the error.
- Copy the relevant lines when asking for help.
The console only keeps recent output on screen. For a full history, most software writes log files you can open in the file manager, for example logs/latest.log on Minecraft.
Watching resource usage
Use the usage graphs to size your server:
- Memory close to the limit most of the time: your server may get killed for running out of memory. See out of memory errors.
- CPU pinned at its limit: the server is throttled and may lag. Give it more CPU or reduce load.
- Memory far below the limit: you can lower it and give the spare memory to another server. See changing resources.
Java servers reserve memory up front, so their memory usage can look high even when idle. That is normal.
Who can use the console
In a team, access to the console and to sending commands is controlled by role permissions. Give command access only to people you trust, since commands can do things like op players or stop the server. See team roles and permissions.
Console shows nothing
- The server may be offline. Start it and watch the output.
- Refresh the page. The console uses a live connection that can drop if your network changes or your device sleeps.
- Check status.schokr.gg if the console will not connect at all.
