How to join a Geyser server from Windows, iOS and Android
Add your Schokr crossplay server in Minecraft Bedrock on Windows, iPhone, iPad or Android using the server address and Bedrock port.
Updated · 2 min read
On Windows, iOS and Android, Bedrock has an Add Server button. Enter your server's address and the Bedrock port Geyser listens on, save, and tap the server to join.
What you need from the server owner
| Field | What to enter |
|---|---|
| Server Name | Anything, it is just a label |
| Server Address | The same address Java players use, without :port |
| Port | The Bedrock port set in Geyser's config.yml |
If the owner shares something like node.example.net:25571, the address is node.example.net and the port is the number Geyser uses, which may be the same 25571 or a separate allocation. Owners: see which port do Bedrock players use.
Steps
- Open Minecraft (Bedrock Edition) and sign in with your Microsoft account.
- Tap Play.
- Open the Servers tab.
- Scroll past the featured servers and tap Add Server.
- Fill in Server Name, Server Address and Port.
- Tap Save (or Play to join immediately).
- The server now appears in your list. Tap it to join.
The first join can take a few seconds longer while Geyser sends resources to your device.
Platform notes
Windows
Use the Minecraft for Windows (Bedrock) version. If you also have Java Edition installed through the launcher, make sure you open the Bedrock one; Java players connect differently.
iOS and iPadOS
Minecraft needs local network or cellular data access for multiplayer. If joins fail only on mobile data, check that Minecraft is allowed to use cellular data in Settings.
Android
Some battery savers and VPN or ad-blocking apps interfere with UDP traffic. If you cannot connect, try turning them off temporarily.
You need to be signed in
Bedrock needs an Xbox/Microsoft sign-in to join external servers, and Floodgate uses it to verify you. If you are not signed in, the game will prompt you or the join will fail.
Common problems
- "Unable to connect to world": wrong port, server offline, or Geyser not running. See fix Bedrock connection errors.
- "Outdated server" or "Outdated client": your Bedrock version and the server's Geyser do not match. See Geyser version compatibility.
- Asked to log in to a Java account: the server does not have Floodgate. The owner can add Floodgate.
- "You are not whitelisted": ask the owner to add you; see whitelist Bedrock players.
Playing on console?
Xbox, PlayStation and Switch do not show the Add Server button. See join from Xbox, PlayStation and Switch.
