What happens when your Schokr credits run out?

If your team's credit balance reaches zero, your servers keep running. Only store purchases and automatic daily snapshots are affected.

Your servers keep running. Running out of credits on Schokr only affects two things: buying from the store and automatic daily snapshots. Nothing you already have is shut down or taken away.

What changes at zero credits

ThingWhat happens
Running serversKeep running as normal
Free package resourcesUnchanged (6 GB memory, 150% CPU, 10 GB disk, 4 slots)
Upgrades you already boughtKept, they are permanent
Existing snapshots and allocationsKept
New store purchasesNot possible until you have enough credits
Automatic daily snapshotsPause until credits are added

Why servers are not affected

Schokr's free package has no trial and no expiry, and store upgrades are one-time purchases rather than subscriptions. There is no ongoing bill for running a server, so there is nothing to suspend it for. The only ongoing credit cost is automatic daily snapshots at 5 credits per day.

Getting credits back

You can top up for free or by paying:

  1. Claim your daily reward: 75 credits plus a streak bonus.
  2. Collect AFK earnings: 0.35 credits per minute while active.
  3. Refer a friend: 50 credits for you, 100 for them.
  4. Buy credits with Stripe: 750 credits per $1, from $5.
  5. Ask a teammate in your other team to transfer credits.

One daily reward is enough to cover more than two weeks of automatic snapshots.

After topping up

Check the Snapshots section of any server that uses automatic daily snapshots, to make sure new ones are being taken again.

Still stuck?

If a server stopped at the same time your balance ran out, it is very likely a separate cause such as a crash or running out of memory. Check the server's console output, then ask on the Schokr Discord if you need help.
